Inspired by Joanne Sharpe's online classes and book, "The Art of Whimsical Lettering" - A great self care resource for summer!
Create a word collage of words that you want to bring into focus for your coming days.
Using art to create a quiet space as well as taking time to focus on words that have special meaning for you can help to counteract the “inner critic” after a challenging day or time in your life. Combining the creative side (colors – collage) of your brain with the logical side (words - organizing) of your brain can help to create integration and balance during your relaxation and self-care.
What to do
Write out your words on the paper in large and small font sizes. Each time you write a word turn your paper to another side for the next word. Use different colors or just doodle within your puffy letters for a “zentangle” look.
Use magazines to cut out your words and collage them onto your surface of choice.
